Step 1 - System Configuration Configuration primarily involves determining how many telephone lines and telephone instruments you need. This process is simple. See the System Price Request and its supporting help screens. We provide worksheets for defining how you want telephone lines, telephone instruments and buttons to be programmed. See System Design and the supporting sample worksheets. If you need help, call us and we can fill them out together. Step 2 - Purchase the equipment Once you have completed the System Price Request and are satisfied with the configuration, place an order for the equipment to be shipped to you. We will confirm the order and the configuration with you before it is shipped. The local service center will install and service the system. Step 3 - Place telephone company order Place any necessary telephone company line orders by calling the local telephone company business office. You can set up a conference with us on the line if you need technical assistance placing the order. Step 4 - Install the system You establish the target installation date and issue the order for installation. We provide technical support to the local service center and/or custom program the system by way of remote programming access. Step 5 - Train your users The secret to user training is not showing users how to use the telephone but rather showing them how to read the instructions about how to use the telephones. Another secret is keeping the system simple so it is easy to use. After all, all you're trying to do is make and receive telephone calls. Take a moment to review the sample user instructions. Once you follow the instructions on your telephone, its a snap to show someone else how the follow the directions. Step 6 - Screen your repair calls Identify one person in your organization to receive repair calls from users. This person can verify whether or not a telephone is really broken by swapping the telephone with a known good working telephone. If the telephone really is broken, ship it to us and we will repair or replace it. Although we offer an advance replacement service for broken telephones, a faster and less expensive approach is to keep a spare telephone for just such purposes. If your telephone person determines the problem is not the telephone, call us for dispatch of a local repair technician. | ||||||||||||||||||
