The WIN telephone
system provides
a rich set of features. Some features are unique to particular telephones while
others are system wide and accessible by any telephone.
For
a list of features, click on the letter above or
scroll down this page. For a description of a
particular feature, click on the feature.
Different
manufacturers have different names for the same feature. It may take a
combination of features to accomplish what you want. If you don't find
what you are looking for, e-mail us with a
description.
The
buttons on your telephone are programmable for access to lines and
features. The system programmer assigns outside lines to the
buttons. Each user can customize their telephone by programming the
features they desire on the remaining buttons.
The
telephones come with a paper "designation" sheet which sits
underneath a clear plastic overlay on the face of the telephone. By
printing (or handwriting or typing) on the "designation" sheet, you
will know which lines and features are on which buttons.
Lines
and features common to all telephones should be programmed on the same button
on every telephone. For example, if the first button on every telephone
is an outside line, you will immediately know how to make and answer a telephone
call no matter which telephone you are using.
System
programming can prohibit certain telephones from accessing certain
features. For example, you may not want a lobby telephone to have access
to outside lines. Also, you may not want to give certain users access to the
Do Not Disturb feature.
