Basic telephone

This telephone provides 8 speed dial buttons and 8 buttons for single button access to (1) specific outside lines or (2) other telephones through the intercom or (3) commonly used features such as Message Waiting, Do Not Disturb and Paging.

Speakerphone

Includes all the features of the Basic Telephone plus a speakerphone and 8 additional access buttons.  The speakerphone provides for receiving intercom calls “hands free”.  That is, when someone in the office calls you, you hear a short tone and can talk to the calling party without ever having to touch the telephone.

Displayphone

This telephone has all the features of the standard speakerphone plus a liquid crystal display (LCD).  The LCD displays the date and time.  When the telephone is in use, the outside line or internal extension is displayed.  After a few seconds, the elapsed time of the call is shown.  When equipped for caller ID, the name/number of the calling party is displayed.

Secretarial Telephone

This telephone provides all the features of the Displayphone plus 15 Direct Station Selection (DSS) buttons.  The DSS buttons show when other telephones are busy. Calls are transferred by pressing a single button and hanging up.

Operator Console

The operator console sits next to a Displayphone and provides 60 Direct Station Selection (DSS) buttons.  The console is used instead of the secretarial telephone when you have more than 15 telephones.
